Product Overview

MidShire BrakeFlu DOT 4 is a high-quality polyglycol-based brake and clutch fluid formulated to meet and exceed the performance requirements of FMVSS 116 DOT 4, ISO 4925 Class 4, and SAE J1703. It is suitable for use in hydraulic brake and clutch systems in passenger cars, vans, and light commercial vehicles where a DOT 4 fluid is specified.

The product provides high dry and wet boiling points to maintain reliable braking performance, including in demanding conditions such as repeated heavy braking on steep gradients. It is compatible with natural and synthetic rubber seals and components found in modern braking systems.

Important: Brake fluid is hygroscopic — it absorbs moisture from the atmosphere over time, which reduces its boiling point. Always replace brake fluid in accordance with the vehicle manufacturer's service schedule. Do not mix DOT 4 with DOT 5 (silicone-based) fluid.
